Depths Of Hatred, from Montreal Quebec, return with their fifth album, Inheritance. I myself love metal, all metal, all genres. But honestly, I am not currently in the know with deathcore bands or bands that have great technicality. That changed today!

Depths of Hatred play their asses off on their newest album on Prosthetic Records, which has been expertly mixed and mastered by Christian Donaldson. They also have a new singer, which has given them a new lease on metal life. Shivers offers a subtle, symphonic undertone to pummelling drums, clean and growling vocals and shredding guitars. Inheritance, the title track from the album, is a head-banger for sure! Crank this one up all the way in your car to piss off everyone in the neighbourhood! The End of Ourselves shadows right behind with enough double bass to make your rear-view mirror jello and the haunting piano notes fade the track out brilliantly.

The haunting album artwork and layout for Inheritance is done by graphic designer Alexandre Goulet. He also did artwork for Clouds Taste Satanic’s new album, Cloud Covered, which was released on the same day as Inheritance. The cover for Inheritance is a haunting picture of a woman sitting on a sigil, holding her knees while it looks like the big man from downstairs is watching over her. He has done some great artwork for many other bands including one of my favourites, Dopethrone, who are from Montreal as well.

Go to wherever you get music and get your Inheritance!
