If you really dig bright colours, flared jeans, platform shoes and big, big hair then Bobbie Dazzle’s groovy debut album, “Fandabidozi”, will be right up your street! “Fandabidozi” is a “funtastic” trip back to the good old days of the overindulgent and unashamedly excessive 70s, when glam was trendy, and it was totally hip to be cool!
Bobbie Dazzle is the pseudonym or maybe even the alter ego of former Alunah frontwoman Sian Greenway as she recreates and reinvents those bygone days ready for a big 21st century style glam rock party. If you like your rock’n’roll with huge riffs, captivating hooks and more than a dash of fun then read on as you’re in for a super “sweet” adventure (pun intended) as Bobbie Dazzle roll back the years.
Running hot straight out of the blocks, Lightning Fantasy delivers a totally wicked hook that will instantly have those hands clapping and get those feet moving. With a big grin on your face, your head will already be spinning like a Merry-Go-Round by the time authentic and rustic track two earworms its way into your psyche.
Straight out of the 70s playbook, Revolution stomps all over you right from the start, but you just won’t care as you’re having too much of a good time joining in and singing along. Bobbie Dazzle really does appreciate the Magic Of Music as this slower and “Bowie-esque” tune drifts pleasurably along as you continue to take a lovely trip down memory lane.
We then go Back To The City with this pumped up throwback that is going to drive you crazy with its catchy chorus and vintage appeal. Next up, It’s Electric kicks things up a gear or two as it absolutely races through at grin inducing breakneck speed!
Antique Time Machine just about sums the whole album up because that’s exactly what it is, a guilt free chance to let your hair down once again and have a good time away from the stress of the modern age. Sian Greenway is definitely a Lady On Fire, with “Fandabidozi” set to blaze a trail up the charts and bring Ms Dazzle some much warranted success.
April Showers are not going to rain on Bobbie Dazzle’s parade, as this slightly more serious song gives us a taste of something a little different. We are then played out by Flowers On Mars, an upbeat and chirpy ditty that polishes off our road trip in proper glitzy style.
“Fandabidozi” is such a truly outstanding album with so much stardust quality and cross generational appeal that it’s an absolutely nailed on certainty to do well for Bobbie Dazzle and may even be the best-selling rock album of the year for 2024. Young or old, male or female, “Fandabadozi” is such good clean fun that even granny will love it. Bobbie Dazzle are sure to be highly requested at everyone’s work, home, Christmas or New Year’s party this coming holiday season, so DJ’s make sure you have a copy close at hand to avoid disappointment! Very highly recommended!
