Based in Tehran, Iran, Emitill is a fresh progressive metalcore band that embraces unconventional methods within the established scene. The duo, consisting of vocalist Ali Zirak and guitarist Armin Amiri, boldly incorporates elements from EDM, trap music, orchestral music, and drill music. This eclectic style is deeply influenced by Ali Zirak’s academic background and dedication to classical music, with his songwriting reflecting the inspirations of Mahler, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Brahms.
In addition to the band’s diverse musical approach, Emitill brings a novel perspective to their lyrical content. Each track from its upcoming debut album, “Fractured Realities,” delves into different facets of a fragmented reality through the eyes of the protagonist. Emitill frequently addresses life’s harsh truths, which are often difficult to accept but ultimately fulfilling to embrace. Today, Metal Epidemic is proud to premiere the bands video for “Kill Me Make Me Famous”. This track is about the people who are excluded or ignored from society for any reason. This community can be a family or a group of friends or a global community. These people are trying to do everything to show that they exist, and finally, after a lot of futile efforts, they come to the conclusion that their death makes them important and to be noticed, even if they really exist.
“When we were writing the lyrics of this track, we had this question in our minds: Why do most people try to prove themselves to others even when they are ignored by others, and why do they not accept the reality that they should leave them alone?
We used major chords to show the satisfaction of being famous at any cost, even with death”.
