Something that comes out of nowhere and just stamps and stomps for 8 minutes before disappearing in a cloud of dust. Conceived as a pandemic project, which gave its members a welcome distraction, as well as a different outlet for their creative drive. Super-short songs are not new, harking back to Napalm Death with Scum as an example of this, but although lengths are minimal, the content is not.
These are all self-contained, and manage to convey their message in the time allowed. It is brutal, intense, with guitars / drums / bass flying in from every angle. They hit and move, striking their target before finishing and cueing up the next assault. In all honesty, it’s probably best these are the length they are because if they were of a conventional run time you would be overawed.
Each one has an identity, taking in from every genre you can think of – Death vocals, double bass, irregular timings, all performed with military precision. It isn’t just one note, either, they are complex arrangements, and one thing is certain is the absolute pummelling it will give you. If you have heard of these guys before, you know exactly what you are getting into, and will no doubt love it. If you haven’t, but you love extreme music, then you need to get onto them and give it the time it deserves.
